Banker. Bembel. Ball artists.
Aareal Bank is the first champion of the Frankfurt BankenCup!
It was a tournament of satisfied faces. After the team captains received team packets bulging with goodies for their teams,
the Tournament Director, Frankfurt’s Economic and Sports Councilor Mark Frank, opened the tournament in brilliant football weather.
The tournament was met with much commitment and passion. At the end of the exciting games,
in the final against Aareal Bank and Commerzbank / Dresdner Kleinwort, Aareal Bank pulled ahead
and became the first winner of the Frankfurt BankenCup, with the ultimate award given to them, the Bembel Cup.
Also the charity partner of the tournament, Abenteuerspielplatz Riederwald,
benefited from a four-digit sum that was donated by the Steubing AG and the financial portal BörseGo,
for the number of goals scored in the tournament.
In addition, in the SponsorCup Steubing AG 3-2 win against MasterCard, presented the contributors and organizers
of the tournament with a special highlight. The politicians of Frankfurt should be pleased with the special creation
and use of "Roman Bembel“ as the tournament cup. The best mood was found among the many large and small guests
– about the various game options, as well as the many coasters that were given to the banks for “bad bank” and “good bank.”
Very satisfied, was Frankfurt’s Economic and Sports Councilor, Mark Frank, who is already looking forward to the next BankenCup,
in the 2010 World Cup year. No wonder, that after the first Bankencup, the BankenCup is well known …
